Huawei attended IFT-ENERGY with FusionSolar Smart PV Solution in Chile
Nov 9th-11th, the IFT-ENERGY 2016 was held in Antofagasta, Chile. Huawei, the global leading PV solution provider, took part in the exhibition with the FusionSolar Smart PV Solution. The solution could be applied to multiple scenarios, like ground utility and rooftop plant.
Apart from the leading technology, Huawei shared its global success cases and company prospect at the exhibition. Besides, it presented the most advanced 1500V solution and products to customers. The 1500V works at higher safety, reliability and efficiency. Huawei’s solution and product have been widely deployed to England, Germany, Japan, and China. And in 2015, Huawei ranks No.1 for global shipment, according to the latest reports of IHS and GTM Research.
Chile is an important inverter market for Huawei. During the exhibition, Soventix and Huawei signed a cooperation agreement, which Huawei will provide FusionSolar Smart PV Solution to Soventix to an amount of 100MW PV projects in Chile. Both sides looked forward to establish long term partnership for PV projects.
At the exhibition, Huawei showcased the SUN2000-36/42KTL smart PV inverter to the Latin American market. The inverter’s European efficiency is up to 98.6% and its maximum efficiency reaches 98.8%. With four maximum power point tracks (MPPTs), it can minimize yield loss caused by PV module mismatch and increase the yield by more than 2%.The embedded high-precision sensors can accurately monitor the performance of each string and key components, which help PV plant achieve remote management. IP65 protection, non-fuse design and free cooling enable the smart PV solution to run well at all type of harsh outdoor environment, like high temperature, high humidity, high altitude, extreme cold, sandy, salt and mist areas. Its strong features secure the reliable running of inverters during entire power plant lifecycle.
With embedded Hisilicon chipsets and operating system, Huawei smart PV inverters adopt less copper components. Such technology changes the inverter from a power converter to a smart controller .It plays as the “brain” of power plant and improve inverter efficiency and performance. In addition, RS485 communications cables are replaced by the PLC (Power Line Communication), which secures reliable communication for power plant. PLC provides high-speed communication channels, which simply the system networking and reduce cost. If spare parts are properly maintained on site, the inverter availability is as high as 99.996%. Such high reliability is certified by TÜV. Its CAPEX is equivalent to that of central inverter, while its yield is 2% higher. In addition, simple O&M saves maintenance cost. Safe and reliable system is key driver for Huawei‘s rapid growth. Huawei will keep innovating and bring more value-added products to the Latin America market.
Chile is the most developed solar market in the region. It has an excellent solar resource and a stable political system. During 2016 Chile was the first country in the region to surpass 1GW of installed solar capacity. Additionally, the largest PV plant in Latin America (246MW) began commercial operation last week. Regarding the future, Chile government has set its ambitious 70% renewable by 2050 target.
