Eco Energy World secures the go ahead for 410 MW of solar projects in Queensland Australia
Eco Energy World (EEW) Australia, an Australian developer of large scale solar projects, is excited to announce the approval of 3 new solar projects totaling 410MW, including its largest project up to date of 280 MW in Bouldercombe, Queensland.
The projects will be connected directly to the grid, providing the possibility to supply energy not only to Queensland, but potentially New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia; aiding Queensland’s transition to sustainable means of large scale power generation.
EEW Chairman Svante Kumlin stated “Queensland has huge potential for solar energy with its high irradiance, good infrastructure and availability of land. These projects will contribute Queensland’s target to reach 50% renewable energy generation. We are so pleased for the Bouldercombe, Yarranlea and Broadlea area. These projects will increase the utility solar generation by approximately 410 MW and will create new opportunities for the community including many hundred jobs and services.”
EEW have previously secured grid and planning for 160 MW solar projects and the ready to build portfolio of project is now 570 MW for a total construction value of 900 M AUD. All these projects are planned to go in construction Q3 2017 and to be connected from December 2017 to Q2 2018.
EEW Australia is one of Australia’s largest developer of utility Solar Power Projects. EEW is targeting to develop minimum 1GW of solar farms in Australia up to 2019.
