Eco Energy World (EEW) Australia, an Australian developer of large scale solar projects, is excited to announce the approval of 3 new solar projects totaling 410MW, including its largest project up to date of 280 MW in Bouldercombe, Queensland.
The projects will be connected directly to the grid, providing the possibility to supply energy not only to Queensland, but potentially New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia; aiding Queensland’s transition to sustainable means of large scale power generation.
EEW Chairman Svante Kumlin stated “Queensland has huge potential for solar energy with its high irradiance, good infrastructure and [...]
Investment company Rockfire Capital acquires solar parks in Great Britain, expanding its portfolio in the field of renewable energies.
London. WIRSOL has sold part of its portfolio of solar parks in the United Kingdom to the investment company Rockfire Capital. The portfolio disposed of by WIRSOL, in conjunction with its British subsidiary WIRSOL Energy Ltd., consists of 19 solar parks, two of them located in Northern Ireland. The 19 solar sites, each ranging between 2.5 MWp and 20.5 MWp, have a total capacity of around 105 MWp. Cumulatively the portfolio that has been sold produces enough energy to generate almost 100 gigawatt hours a year. This is sufficient to supply power [...]
ROCKLIN, Calif.—SMA inverters have recently been installed to help power up 3 MW of solar in Mexico as part of a rebuild for the Aura Solar I project in La Paz, Baja California Sur.
Aura Solar I is a 30 MW solar plant developed by Gauss Energia, a leading developer in Mexico. It is currently the largest solar plant in Mexico, delivering solar power directly to a local utility.
After suffering damage from a hurricane, a significant portion of Aura Solar I was out of commission. When the time came to rebuild the 3 MW section of the project that had been destroyed, Gauss Energía selected SMA inverters. The Aura facility has been delivering power to the grid since last [...]
